Providing stable homes to support healthy adolescent development.

IDM Youth Services Inc. provides stable homes for youth in care. We believe that using positive interactions, encouraging emotional growth, and fostering independence can help a vulnerable youth better navigate adolescence. Through specialized training such as Non-Violent Intervention Training, Complex Care Intervention Training, and on the job coaching IDM Youth Services Inc. ensures that employees are set up to succeed.

We commit to standing by our youth served and strive to provide a secure environment with consistent caregivers.

Who We Serve

IDM Youth Services Inc. is contractually mandated to provide a range of services funded by different designated social services funders and legislatively supervised by Island Health (VIHA). IDM Youth Services Inc. has a much more far-reaching mandate than to provide Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), Community Living of British Columbia (CLBC), and Island Health services – our agency mandate calls for us to advocate for children, youth, and young adults; create stable and safe environments for all children, youth and young adults; and support families.

IDM Youth Services Inc. proudly implements the Mandt and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) methods of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and has certified trainers on staff to help when needed.

We are thankful to be a part of the Complex Care and Intervention (CCI) Project. The project focuses on using a sensitive, trauma-focused intervention planning tool for children and youth.
